相変わらずの美旋律の嵐。
リードトラックの3の切なさと悲哀っぷりはもう異常です。

フィンランドのメロデスバンド、エターナル・ティアーズ・オブ・ソロウの3rd。2000作
バンド名やジャケットからして、聴くまではてっきりメランコリックなゴシックメタルかと思っていましたが、
どっこいメロデスでした。ブラストビートありの、シンセ使いまくりの、メロウなギターの高品質サウンド。
今作ではこれだという個性はまだ見えませんが(あえていえばピアノ、キーボードの多用か)、
そのとことん「美」にこだわったメロディとゴシック色もある楽曲には非常に好感が持てます。

フィンランドのメロデスバンド、エターナル・ティアーズ・オブ・ソロウの4th。2001作
前作3rd「CHAOTIC BEAUTY」にて格段の進歩を遂げたこのバンド。
ときにシンフォプログレにも通じるようなきらきらとしたキーボードワークに、
今作では全体的に疾走度を落として、よりゴシックメタル的な音像に接近してきている。
美しいピアノがメロウなギターフレーズに絡まる場面などはとくに美しく、
激烈系のメロデスが好きな方には甘すぎるだろうが、むしろゴシックメタルファンや、
シンフォメタルのリスナーなどがメロデスを聴いてみる時などにいいバンドであろう。
